The Taoist Temple in Cebu, built in 1972 by the Filipino-Chinese community, is a vibrant multi-tiered structure situated 110 meters above sea level. Unlike some nearby temples, it’s open to all visitors.

A notable ritual involves praying for wishes, following specific steps like hand-washing and dropping two wooden blocks. If both blocks land face up, it’s believed the wish will come true.

The temple is a key Taoist place of worship, and on Wednesdays and Sundays, devotees climb its 81 steps (representing Taoism’s 81 chapters) to seek blessings from resident monks.
